Azerbaijan sends another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine

On August 15, Azerbaijan dispatched a new shipment of electrical equipment and supplies, designated as humanitarian aid for Ukraine, from Sumgayit Technologies Park, AzVision.az reports.

The aid is being provided by the Ministry of Energy in accordance with a decree issued by President Ilham Aliyev.

The shipment includes nearly 90,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 25 generators and 7 sets of transformers. These items are intended to support the restoration of stable electricity supply in areas of Ukraine affected by the ongoing war. The first batch of equipment was sent in a convoy of 10 trucks.

Organized in response to requests from the Ukrainian side, the total value of this aid is $2 million, with additional shipments planned in the coming days.

Azerbaijan has previously sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine related to the electricity supply. In light of the current conflict, Azerbaijan’s total humanitarian assistance to Ukraine—including support for reconstruction and recovery—has now exceeded $44 million.
