`I have already mentioned it before and want to highlight now, our economy should function in a way to reduce its dependency on oil. However, we still depend on it `, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev told during his visit to Ujar district, Azvision.az reports.
`Our country is an example. I do not say it to appraise ourselves, as mistakes also exist. Nevertheless, if review the process carefully going on in the modern world, it will be vivid, both economic and political process are developing in a right form.Despite the fall in the oil prices , decrease in our revenues , Azerbaijani citizens do not feel it. Wages, pensions are being given to citizens in a timely manner, reforms are underway and our international image is expanding every passing day,` President added.
Moreover, all we know there are bunch of tasks to accomplish. Both in the capital-Baku and in the regions our main priorities include reconstruction, renovation works and increasing social welfare standards.Main aim of my visit to the regions is to investigate the situation and get the information from initial sources.
President said, government supports business: offers credits with lower interest, provides necessary equipment, attracts private business holders with political support. Accordingly businessmen should work hard. Local executive bodies must not intervene as well. Thus our economy will develop drastically.
