Azerbaijani and Finnish scientists agree on joint scientific activities

Markku Kangaspuro, Research Director of the Aleksanteri Institute at the University of Helsinki, and Institute’s Professor and Doctor of Historical Sciences Dmitri Frolov, visited the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Professor Ilham Mammadzade, Director of the Institute Philosophy and Sociology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences briefed the guests about the Institute’s scientific activities and ongoing research.

The Finnish scholars spoke about the research conducted in Azerbaijan, as well as the national and international projects for Russia, Eastern Europe, Eurasia by the Aleksanteri Institute. They emphasized that the Institute conducts research in the social and human sciences and actively collaborates both domestically and internationally.

The meeting, concluded with an agreement between the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology and the Aleksanteri Institute to establish scientific collaboration, as well as with plans to sign a memorandum in the future to formalize the cooperation.
