A meeting with the participation of representatives of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held at the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting hailed the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries in all areas.
The parties lauded the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Cooperation in the Field of Plant Quarantine and Plant Protection" signed on February 24 this year.
The agreement serves to deepen cooperation in the field of plant health, simplify import and export procedures for goods under state control, prevent plant diseases and strengthen control measures.
The meeting also discussed the approval of veterinary certificates for the import of animal products from Pakistan to Azerbaijan and other matters of mutual concern.
