The award ceremony of the 5th Traditional Global Media Meeting of the Global Journalists Council was held in Türkiye. Among the prominent names honored were well-known figures from Azerbaijan.
The meeting, which began on November 6 in the Alanya region of Antalya province, brought together 310 journalists from 41 countries. Within the framework of the event, a comprehensive program aligned with the council’s diplomatic mission reviewed both national and international media agendas. Seminars and the award ceremony were attended by numerous important guests from Türkiye and abroad, alongside journalists.
Rashad Majid, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council, was among the award recipients in the “Media” category. People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulyanag Mammadova was honored in the “Arts” category.
At the ceremony, Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu received the “Ismail Gaspirali Service Award,” Anadolu Agency Director General Serdar Karagöz was awarded in “Journalism,” and TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev received the award in “Literature.”
The event recognized individuals who achieved great success in journalism, standout media professionals at national and international levels, as well as statesmen, scientists, athletes, and artists who have made global accomplishments.
