OIC Cultural Festival hosts discussions on development of technologies in culture in Islamic countries

On December 8, the “OIC Cultural Festival: Baku Creative Week – 2025” in Baku, featured panel discussions on the “Development of Technologies in the Field of Culture (Cultech) in Islamic Countries.”

The session was moderated by Lhoucine Rhazoui, Director of Cultural Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Addressing the panel session, Saadat Yusifova, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture, highlighted Azerbaijan’s significant contributions to the Islamic culture. She said that the event celebrates not only the shared Islamic cultural heritage, but also the existing political, economic, and cultural partnership among the Islamic countries.

The Deputy Culture Minister briefed the participants about Azerbaijan’s efforts in the cultural and creative industries aimed at revealing the creative potential of young talents through applying their knowledge and skills.

Other speakers included Abdurrahman Aliy, President of the Turkish Yunus Emre Institute; Maryam Gafar-Zada, Assistant Director of the ICESCO’s Regional Office in Baku; Atilla Karaman, Acting Director of the Statistics and Information Department of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC); and Abduvali Khaydarov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Creative Association.

The panel followed with discussions and a Q&A session.
