President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Isa Habibbayli, met with Ruan Cao, Director of the China Association for Science and Technology, and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of the event marking the 1800th anniversary of the outstanding Chinese mathematician Liu Hui in Baku.
Addressing the meeting, academician Isa Habibbayli noted that over the past years, relations between the two countries have reached the level of strategic partnership, and Azerbaijan supports China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Academician Isa Habibbayli also emphasized that a large delegation from China visited Azerbaijan last month to participate in the 80th anniversary of ANAS, where fruitful meetings were held.
Ruan Cao expressed his gratitude for the sincere hospitality. Highlighting the activities of the China Association for Science and Technology, he underscored their interest in cooperation with ANAS and Azerbaijani scientists in various areas.
