An event commemorating the 22nd anniversary of the passing of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Cultural Center of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris.
The memorial event began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the National Leader, followed by screening of a video highlighting the life and political activities of the National Leader.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, Military attaché Colonel Javid Abdullayev, Executive Director of French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), Vice-Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and member of the Management Board of the New Azerbaijan Party Vazeh Asgarov.
Speakers highlighted National Leader Heydar Aliyev's pivotal role in modern Azerbaijan, highlighting his political activities during his leadership, as well as his unparalleled historical services.
It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's current economic and political strength, as well as its influential position in the international arena, are the fruits of the National Leader's policy. Speakers emphasized that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully advancing the political course established by the National Leader.
