Baku hosts 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Religious Figures

On December 24, the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Religious Figures on “Constitutional principles of state-religion relations in Azerbaijan: Secularism and freedom of conscience” kicked off in Baku as part of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” AzVision.az reports.

The event aims to promote fundamental constitutional values such as secularism and freedom of conscience, discuss issues related to the rights and obligations of religious figures, their professional development, legal and cultural aspects of state-religion relations, as well as strengthening Azerbaijan’s multicultural and tolerant environment.

The event brings together representatives of relevant state authorities, teachers from religious educational institutions, theologians and specialists, as well as the heads of state religious authorities of Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

The forum will feature panel discussions on multicultural value system, legal and cultural aspects of state-religion relations, religious education and awareness strategies in the digital information environment, as well as the role of religious communities in the social and spiritual development of women.
