Earthquake strikes Azerbaijan

An earthquake was recorded in the Shamakhi district, 12 kilometers south of the Pirgulu station, AzVision.az reports.

According to the Republican Seismological Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the tremor occurred at 7:56 a.m. local time.

The magnitude 3,7 earthquake had an epicenter at a depth of 9 kilometers. Tremors of up to magnitude 4 were felt at the epicenter.
