Azerbaijani delegation visits Ho Chi Minh and Vung Tau cities of Vietnam

As part of its visit to Vietnam, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Tahir Budagov, Chairman of the State Statistics Committee, held a series of meetings in Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s largest economic center and most populous city.

During discussions with Vo Van Minh, Chairman of the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City, and Nguyen Khac Hoang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Statistics Office, the sides noted the successfully developing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, based on mutual respect and consideration of each country’s interests. They emphasized that high-level reciprocal visits and close contacts are crucial for further enhancing cooperation across various fields, including statistics.

The delegation also met with the management of Vietsovpetro in Vung Tau, the country’s oil industry hub, as well as members of the Vung Tau branch of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Friendship Association. The parties highlighted the significant contribution of Azerbaijani specialists in establishing Vietnam’s oil and gas industry. Noting that Vung Tau and Baku are sister cities, they discussed prospects for cooperation between the regions and expressed confidence that these efforts will further strengthen Azerbaijani–Vietnamese relations.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietsovpetro Museum, and Baku Street in Vung Tau.
