5.7 magnitude quake strikes southern Mexico

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck the southern coast of Mexico on Sunday, according to the National Seismological Service of Mexico, AzVision.az reports, citing Xinhua.

The quake was located 14 km northeast of Puerto Escondido, a coastal city in the Oaxaca State in southern Mexico, with the focus at a depth of 17 km.

The quake was felt strongly in Puerto Escondido and other cities, authorities said, with no casualties or property damage reported so far.
