“The construction of the Aghband-Kalala highway bridge has been completed,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Co-Chair of the Commission from the Azerbaijani side Shahin Mustafayev at the 17th meeting of the State Commission on Cooperation in Economic, Trade and Humanitarian fields between Azerbaijan and Iran, held in Baku on February 23, AzVision.az reports.
Shahin Mustafayev emphasized that the bridge is expected to be fully operational once the border and customs infrastructure is finalized.
The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that the project would connect the East Zangezur economic region with Nakhchivan via the shortest and most efficient route, and at the same time will form a crucial component of a convenient highway route linking the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea.
