Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway route will be finally commissioned till November 2016, Javid Gurbanov, head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, said Oct. 13, at the international conference titled
“Construction work on the BTK will be fully completed in 2016,” he said. “We plan to start cargo transportation by late 2015, and it is planned to complete work on the electrification of railway and the creation of other railway infrastructure during the next year.”
