Azerbaijani CEC registers over 1,200 candidates for MPs
As many as 1,246 people were registered as candidates for MPs to participate in the forthcoming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, Mazahir Panahov, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), said Oct. 13.
He said that until now, the number of persons who were registered as observers in the districts, has exceeded 22,606. “In addition, 138 observers were registered from 20 countries,” Panahov said.

The CEC chairman went on to add that to date, 15 applications of 64 ones received by the commission in connection with the registration of the candidates have been approved.

The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan will be held on November 1.
