Azerbaijan sees increase in salary
As of September 1, 2015 the number of employees in enterprises and organizations in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 509 800 people, 880 000 of them work in the state, 630 000 - in the private sectors of the economy, AzVision.Az reports citing to the State Statistics Committee.
"The field of education accounts for 22.1% of the total number of employees, trade and repair of vehicles - 18,9%, the industry - 12.2%, 8.9% - health and social services, 6.7% - construction, 5% - transport and warehousing, 3.8% - in the scientific and technical areas, 3% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 1.7% - communications and information technology, and 17.7% - other sectors economy.

In January-August 2015 the average monthly salary of employees increased compared to the same period last year by 4.4% and amounted to AZN 460.1," the Committee reports.

In addition, the Committee stated that wages in the mining, financial and insurance activities, information and communication sectors, professional, scientific and technical fields, as well as the construction was even higher.
