Hearing held on Khadija Ismayilova
Baku Court of Grave Crimes on Thursday held a hearing on the appeal against the judgment over journalist Khadija Ismayilova.
At the preliminary hearing presided over by judge Ilgar Murguzov, Khadija Ismayilova expressed her intention to sign a contract with lawyer Yalchin Imanov. The court rejected her appeal.

Then lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev filed a motion for Khadija Ismayilova’s sitting next to the lawyers, but not in the glass booth, commuting her imprisonment to house arrest and partial investigation of the criminal case. The petitions were rejected.

The judicial review was scheduled for October 29.

The Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced Khadija Ismayilova to seven years and six months in prison. Khadija Ismayilova appealed against the judgment.
