Majority in Azerbaijan consider Nagorno Karabakh conflict main problem
French research company, conducted a public opinion survey in Azerbaijan on the eve of 2015 Parliamentary elections. The survey was based on 1200 registered voters.
58% of respondents noted that the things in Azerbaijan were going on in the right direction, and 22.9% answered that things were going in the wrong direction. 19.1% didn`t want to answer the question.

As for question on "How does the economic situation change recently in Azerbaijan?", the answers were as following: 54.1% respondents – "getting better", 28.2% - "doesn’t` change", and 9.3% - "getting worse". And 8.4% of the respondents couldn`t answer.

As regards the question on "To what extent are you satisfied with current situation of the following spheres?", the answers were as following:

- Ensuring national security: 71.4% - "very satisfied", 10.8% - "not satisfied", 17.8% -"I don`t know".
- Fight against crime: 68.4% - "very satisfied", 16.9% - "not satisfied", 14.7% - "I don`t know".
- Human rights record: 69.8% - "very satisfied", 12.5% - "not satisfied", 17.7% - "I don`t know".
- Level of education: 48.8% - "very satisfied", 41.3% - "not satisfied", 9.9% - "I don`t know".
- Fight against corruption: 71.2% - "very satisfied", 18.1% - "not satisfied", 10.7% - "I don`t know".
- Job opportunities: 51.8% - "very satisfied", 11.8% - "not satisfied", 18.2% - "I don`t know".

41.2% of respondents are very interested in the upcoming parliamentary elections

The answers of the respondents to question on "To what extent are you satisfied with the work of political system in the Azerbaijan Republic?" were as following: 50.8% - "very satisfied", 21.9% - "partly satisfied", 14.7% - "not satisfied", 12.6% - "I don`t know".

Answering the question on "To what extent are you satisfied with the implementation of presidential duties by President Ilham Aliyev?", the respondents noted: 78.8% - "very satisfied", 11.8% - "partly satisfied", 5% - "partly not satisfied", 2.9% - "not satisfied at all", and 1.5% - "I don`t know".

As for the question on "What are the most important problems in Azerbaijan?", the respondents were allowed to choose 2 variants:

Nagorno-Karabakh – 66.5%
Economy – 30.8%
Education – 23.3%
Human rights - 9%
Environment – 11.7%
Multiple taxes – 8.5%
National security – 1.7%
I don`t know – 6.3%

The respondents answered as following to the question on "To what extent are you interested in the pre-electoral campaign on the eve of 1st November Parliamentary elections?"

Very interested – 41.2%
Partly interested – 35.3%
Almost not interested – 9.6%
Not interested – 11.5%
I don`t know – 2.4%

63% of the respondents told that they`ll certainly participate in the 1st November elections, 12% will probably participate, 7.7% probably will not participate, and 9% will not participate at all. And 8.3% of the respondents haven`t decided yet.

As regards the question "Are you satisfied with the activity of Member of Parliament from your constituency?", the answers were: 39.6% - fully satisfied, 33.8% - partly satisfied, 10.8% - partly not satisfied, 9.8% - not satisfied at all, and 6% - I don`t know.

Answers to the question on "Which political force do you intend to support during the parliamentary elections?" were as following:

Party in power or candidate from pro-governmental party – 71.7%
Candidate from opposition party – 6%
Neutral candidate – 16.4%
I don`t know – 5.9%

71% of the respondents "would like to have the same MP elected, having regarded the last parliamentary elections". 22.3% would like to have another MP elected. And 6.7% of the respondents couldn`t answer the question.

The answers to "What are your main sources of information?" were as following:

Pro-governmental newspapers – 31.1%
Opposition newspapers – 11%
Independent newspapers – 28.4%
Azerbaijan State Television (AzTV) – 41.0%
Public Television – 38.3%
Private television channels – 67.9%
State radio channels – 17.4%
Private radio channels – 9.5%
Internet – 35.8%
Different people – 24.4%
