The Head of State stressed that the visit of the delegation headed by the Governor of South Azerbaijan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Ismail Jabbarzade is of great importance from the point of view of the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Noting the successful development of bilateral relations, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of joint activities in all fields based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.
The President also noted that the visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Azerbaijan, and his personal visit to Iran raised relations between the two countries to a new level.
Ismail Jabbarzade conveyed the greetings of Hassan Rouhani to Ilham Aliyev. Guest with great reverence recalled his meeting with national leader Heydar Aliyev, noting that he has laid the foundation for the successful development of Azerbaijan.
The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President of the Islamic Republic Hassan Rouhani and asked to convey his greetings to the President of Iran.
