Azerbaijan, Costa Rica may expand e-commerce co-op
Azerbaijan and Costa Rica have a great potential for expansion of cooperation in the field of e-commerce, the Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov said.
He made the remarks in Baku at the meeting with the Foreign Minister of Costa Rica Manuel Gonzalez Sanz.

Both countries have a great mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the sphere of high technologies, according to Abbasov.

The minister went on to add that Azerbaijan is the initiator of a number of regional and global projects, one of which is the project of construction of the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) supported by the UN General Assembly. Azerbaijan is also the initiator of establishing the Eurasian Connectivity Alliance – EurACA, he said.

The foreign minister of Costa Rica was informed about the work carried out in Azerbaijan on establishment of the National Nuclear Research Centre, the country`s satellite program, the project of the broadband services development, etc.

Extensive capacities of the global network may contribute to the development of electronic interaction between Azerbaijan and Costa Rica, according to Abbasov.

Manuel Gonzalez Sanz expressed his country`s interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan and took the initiative to implement joint projects. He also invited Ali Abbasov to participate in the annual Freedom Online Conference of the Freedom Online Coalition to be held in Costa Rica in 2016.
