Azerbaijan, Russia eye Samur bridge project
A joint working group of the Azerbaijani and Russian governments on implementation of an agreement on construction of a new motorway bridge across the Samur River has convened in Baku.

The heads of the working group are Azerbaijani deputy transport minister Musa Panahov and Department Head of the Russian Ministry of Transport Igor Kostyuchenko, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The meeting featured discussions on technical parameters and a draft of the bridge to be built over the Samur River in the Yarag-Kazmalyar and Samur checkpoints on the Russian-Azerbaijani border.

The parties decided to hold the second meeting of the group in Moscow in April.
