On October 23, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation headed by the newly appointed Vice-President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller.
Azerbaijan faced with financial and economic difficulties in the early years of its independence and noted with satisfaction that in the coming years the country has made great strides.
The Head of State noted that Azerbaijan is currently at a new stage of development and stressed the importance of institutional reforms to further improve the business climate and stimulating entrepreneurship.
The sides discussed prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
