Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on October 26 on additional measures for the application of the law "On the suspension of inspections in the sphere of entrepreneurship" and state regulation of inspections carried out in this areas.
The Head of the State also approved the list of authorized inspections which can constitute a serious threat to life and health, national security and economic interests.
According to the document, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan is in charge of checking the quality of drugs, compliance with the rules of safety and sanitary requirements;
- The Ministry of Agriculture will carry out verification of compliance with phytosanitary and veterinary requirements;
- The Ministry of Finance will carry out an audit of the insurance and reinsurance companies;
- The Central Bank of Azerbaijan will inspect credit institutions and their affiliated business entities;
- The Ministry of Emergency Situations will carry out inspections of storage and distribution of radioactive, explosive and highly dangerous substances or equipment, compliance with the rules of technical safety during work in the mining industry, hydraulic engineering structures and oil and gas industry, compliance of works and utilized objects with the rules of construction, technical and fire safety.
The document also provides inspection of illegal connections to the lines of gas, water, electricity or heating.
According to the decree, other inspections not reflected in the list are carried out only if there is reason to the existence of threats to life, health, safety and economic interests of the state with the consent of Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development.
