Armenia shatters ceasefire with Azerbaijan during OSCE monitoring
Under the mandate of personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in the territory of Azerbaijan’s Terter district was monitored on October 27.

During the monitoring, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (US), Pierre Andrieu (France) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk crossed from the opposite side to the part of the contact line controlled by Azerbaijani armed forces, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

Later on, the co-chairs held a field briefing with the participation of the local command staff and executive authorities.

In spite of the ceasefire agreement, Armenian armed forces opened fire at Azerbaijani army positions during the monitoring.

Following the direct intervention by the co-chairs, the fire was ceased.
