UNGA: former president may face further charges - VIDEO
Prosecutors in the US say a former president of the UN General Assembly facing two counts of tax fraud may be confronted with additional charges.
John Ashe held the post from 2013 to 2014.

He has not been charged with bribery, despite allegations he accepted 1.3 million dollars from Chinese business associates. Prosecutors have cited diplomatic immunity, which does not apply to the tax charges.

Mr Ashe, the former UN ambassador for Antigua and Barbuda, has been released on bail on a bond of one million dollars.
