Turkey`s National Day celebrated in Baku
Turkey has always supported the just stance of Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict, said Abid Sharifov, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan at the event dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
Abid Sharifov noted that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are successfully developing in the fields of politics, economics, finance, trade, culture and many other spheres.

According to Abid Sharifov, the basis of the economic relations between the two countries is mutual investments.

Over 30 % of foreign companies in Azerbaijan are Turkish, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted.

The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.

Baku Tbilisi-Kars is one of the most important projects and the implementation of this project will connect Azerbaijan and Turkey more closely, A. Sharifov underscored.

Turkish Ambassador, Ismail Alper Joshgun noted the significance of holding the celebration of the 92 anniversary of the Turkish Republic in Azerbaijan and expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani government.

The Turkish Ambassador noted that Azerbaijan is a fraternal country and the cooperation between the countries will further develop.

Alper Joshgun also delivered the message of Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan to the guests.

The event was attended by Azerbaijan`s top government officials and foreign ambassadors.
