CEC - Monitoring Azerbaijan
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights has no right to fail in sending observers to the parliamentary elections to be held in Azerbaijan.

CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov made the remarks at a press conference on Oct.31.

“It is the own right of every institutions not to send observers to Azerbaijan. However, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is an exception. Because this institution has been established to monitor elections. This is its duty. However, we cannot say it about other institutions. It is not right not to fulfill its function by issuing a statement politically. If it iterates this case in regard to any European country, the institution will be probably forced to apologize to that country. What can be done that all look out for their interests. We shouldn’t get discouraged”, Panahov said.
