Some 55.7 percent of voters, or 2,897,188 people, have cast their ballots during the Nov. 1 parliamentary election in Azerbaijan according to tentative data, said Rufat Gulmammadov, head of the ‘Elections’ Information Center at Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission.
As many as 503 international observers from 40 organizations and over 66,000 local observers watched the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan.
Some 767 candidates are running for 125 seats in the country’s parliament.
Webcams were installed at 1000 polling stations in 119 constituencies to observe the election.
