Azerbaijani diaspora in Netherlands expresses protest to Amsterdam University
The Azerbaijani-Turkish Cultural Center in the Netherlands has expressed protest to the management of VU University Amsterdam over the event that the Armenian diaspora is planning to hold seminar in the university.

On Nov.7, the Armenian diaspora in the Netherlands is due to hold the seminar on the theme of “Unrecognized countries, what is the solution to the problem?”, dedicated to the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, at VU University Amsterdam. Armen Sargsyan, MP from “NKR”, is expected to attend the seminar.

Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani-Turkish Cultural Center has sent a letter of protest to the management of VU University Amsterdam, emphasizing the fact that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has been created in Azerbaijani territory after its invasion by the Armenian armed forces.

The letter reminds that the “republic” was created on account of the occupation of seven Azerbaijani districts, which caused thousands of people to die and more than a million Azerbaijanis to flee their homes.

The letter goes on to note that the speech of the murderous criminal regime’s representative at VU University Amsterdam has infuriated the Azerbaijanis living in the Netherlands. Azerbaijani diaspora representatives urge the local community not to welcome the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh and hope the university’s teachers and professors will, in respect for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, not allow regime representatives to make a speech.
