Putin presents Medal of Pushkin to Leyla Aliyeva

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin presented the Medal of Pushkin to the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva.

The awarding ceremony took place during a reception to mark the Russian National Unity Day.

Aliyeva was awarded for her great contribution to strengthening of friendship and cooperation with Russia, the development of economic ties, the preservation and popularization of the Russian language and culture abroad. The relevant decree was signed on Oct.20.
