UK embassy in Azerbaijan has commented on arrangement of illegal tours to Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region by Regent Holidays travel company, located in Bristol, United Kingdom.
“The Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises, including to tour operators, against all travel to Nagorno-Karabakh and the military occupied area surrounding it. It also advises that anyone visiting Nagorno-Karabakh without the permission of the Azerbaijani authorities will be refused entry to Azerbaijan. Regent Holidays travel company, located in Bristol, United Kingdom, is planning to arrange illegal tours to Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenians. The company announced that group tours to Nagorno-Karabakh will start from May 6 next year. The tour will start from Armenian and last 11 days. The next tour is scheduled for August 28. Tourists are offered tours from Yerevan to Shusha and Khankandi in Nagorno-Karabakh. The company’s website introduces Nagorno-Karabakh as an ethnic Armenian enclave inside Azerbaijan which declared independent in 1992 - an independence recognized by no one.
