Azerbaijani president, Georgian PM hold expanded meeting in Tbilsi
"I am very pleased that we have recently met in Baku, now we are holding a meeting in Tbilisi. These meetings are good indicator for deepening ties between the two countries and carrying out joint projects," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in an expanded format with the participation of delegations.
The sides said economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan are developing successfully, noting that Azerbaijan’s direct investments in Georgia increased by 3.7 times during the period of 2012-2015.

Transport and energy projects jointly implemented by Azerbaijan and Georgia were also discussed at the meeting.

The sides also discussed the construction of the South Caucasus pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, emphasizing that SOCAR Energy Georgia is successfully operating in the market of energy resources in Georgia.

They also stressed the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries.
