Some 14 Azerbaijani citizens detained in Turkey before joining IS
Some 14 Azerbaijani citizens who intended to join the Islamic State terrorist group have been detained in Turkey, the Turkish media reported Nov. 9.
Approximately 38 foreigners were detained during the anti-terrorist operation conducted by the Turkish police in Adana, 14 of them being Azerbaijani citizens.

There were 10 women and 15 children in the detained group.

Officials said those who were apprehended intended to join the IS terrorist group by crossing from Turkey into Syria.

Along with the Azerbaijanis, among the detainees are seven Indonesians, five Iraqi and Kyrgyz citizens, two citizens of Tajikistan, one Iranian and an Afghani.
