We need to find ways to preserve resources of Caspian Sea - Russian MP
"The Caspian Sea is a region rich in energy and biological resources. People have lived around the Caspian Sea for thousands of years, and today we came to a conclusion that it is necessary to unite and leverage natural resources of the Caspian Sea," chairman of the Committee on Nationalities in the State Duma of Russia Gadzhimet Safaraliev said.
The parliamentarian said that there is a need to develop relations between the former Soviet republics. According to Safaraliev, today Russia has several major partners, including the Caspian states Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. “The International Conference in Aktau is important from the standpoint of debates,” said Safaraliev. “A business forum in Aktau will provide an opportunity to accumulate material for politicians and government officials to continue mutually friendly policies in the region,” he added.
