Azerbaijani president signs order on increasing stipends of students
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on making amendments to the order dated 30 Aug.2013 on increasing stipends of doctorates, and students and pupils of universities, and secondary and primary vocational education institutions.

In the order, articles 1.2 and 1.3 have been edited as follows:

“1.2. Higher education institutions:

Students receiving nominal stipend – AZN 120

On master degree:

Students with academic marks 91 to 100 – AZN 105
Students with academic marks 71 to 100 – AZN 85
Students with academic marks 51 to 100 – AZN 55

On bachelor degree:

Students with academic marks 91 to 100 – AZN 95
Students with academic marks 71 to 100 – AZN 80
Students with academic marks 51 to 100 – AZN 50

1.3. Secondary schools:

Students with academic marks 91 to 100 – AZN 50
Students with academic marks 71 to 100 – AZN 40
Students with academic marks 51 to 100 – AZN 35

The Cabinet of Ministers is due to set and confirm the rules of defining and paying stipends for doctorates, and students and pupils of universities, and secondary and primary vocational education institutions.

The 1st part of the order enters into force on February 1, 2016.
