President Ilham Aliyev visits military town of Air Force - PHOTOS
President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev has visited a military town of the military unit of the country’s Air Force.

Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov reported to the head of state.

The president viewed the military town’s main plan. The president was informed that a canteen, barracks, hangars, training rooms and a medical center were built in the military town.

President Aliyev then toured the canteen and barracks. It was also noted that the area of the town is fully protected.

The president was also given information about the technology park.

Later on, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief visited the missile hangar of the military unit. The head of state reviewed the anti-aircraft missile system S-300 PMU2 “Favorit” and familiarized himself with practical activities and combat duty of the personnel.

President Aliyev was also informed about the hangar, missiles and combat vehicles for transportation of missiles. The head of state looked at the remains of Armenia’s X-55, shot down by Azerbaijani servicemen on the Aghdam part of the frontline on 15 Sept. 2015.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief was provided information about a number of military equipment of the Air Force. It was said that the combat management center is provided with the most modern military equipment.

Afterwards, the head of state familiarized himself with the training facility designed to check the organization of combat duty and skills of the personnel to operate the military equipment.

The Azerbaijani president also arrived at the starting position of the missile complex.
