13th International Conference of Ombudsmen kicks off in Baku
Baku is hosting the 13th International Conference of Ombudsmen on "The role cooperation between domestic and international organizations in ensuring constitutional rights and freedoms".
Supported by UNESCO and organized by the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova, the conference is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 70th anniversary of the United Nations and UNESCO.

The international conference is being attended by Azerbaijani president’s aide for public and political affairs Ali Hasanov, chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev, ombudsmen with their representatives from Austria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Egypt, Namibia, Turkey, Pakistan, Russia and its subjects, as well as Moldova, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The conference which is due to last until November 14 will finish with the adoption of the Baku declaration.
