5 things you need to know this weekend - V?DEO
1. France is reeling in the wake of horrific terror attacks

President Francois Hollande is convening a meeting of his defense council Saturday after a spate of terror attacks unfolded across Paris in the deadliest violence the city has seen since World War II. . Investigators worked to learn more about the perpetrators of the attack, seven of whom died after detonating suicide bombs. Border security measures were tightened, as French officials said terrorists tied to the attack could still be at large. In the U.S., many large cities were stepping up patrols.

2. Ronda Rousey takes on Holly Holm at UFC 193

Ronda Rousey is seeking to prove — once again — why she is the most dominant fighter in mixed martial arts. Rousey is 12-0 since switching judo for MMA and 6-0 since the UFC implemented a women’s bantamweight division. She will face former world boxing champion Holly Holm (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) during the main event in Melbourne, Australia. . The main fight card begins at 10 p.m. ET, and Rousey’s fight will be the last of five bouts to be held on the card. Rousey, whose career is not without controversy, is a heavy favorite. Whatever the outcome, Rousey says after the fight she`s going to "disappear" for a while and focus on some of her films.

3. Dems get a second chance at debate

Compared to the GOP version, there will be a lot fewer candidates on stage. But here`s what we`ll look for: Saturday`s Democratic debate is still a prime opportunity for Hillary Clinton to solidify her front-runner status and for Sen. Bernie Sanders to regain some of the momentum he`s lost. Former Maryland governor Martin O`Malley, whose support barely registers in the polls, needs a breakthrough. Watch the debate starting at 9 p.m. ET, televised from Drake University in Des Moines.

4. G-20 summit to focus on Syria, migrants

Because of Turkey’s involvement in the conflict in neighboring Syria and the fact that combat is occurring only 300 miles from the Group of 20 summit venue in Antalya, Syria will loom large when the world leaders meet on Sunday. The leaders — representing the USA, European powers, China, Russia, Japan, India and Brazil — plan to discuss a possible peace plan and what to do about the flood of refugees fleeing Syria and other wars. The attacks in France will also certainly be a topic.
