As of October 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,676,500, up 83,500 persons or 0.9% from early 2015.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 112 persons in a each square meter. Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,009 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages, 49.8% are men, 50.2% women.
