`Europe can learn Azerbaijan`s experience in refugee, IDP issues`
During a year, close to 800,000 refugees migrated to Europe and see what problems they have caused. U.S. officials too are planning to stop receiving refugees from Syria and Iraq, Novruz Mammadov, deputy head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, chief of the administration
Mammadov spoke about the refugee problems faced by Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan faced the problem of one million refugees and IDPs as a consequence of the Karabakh conflict and it managed to successfully overcome this problem in that difficult period, the PA official noted.

Mammadov said Europe can learn Azerbaijan’s experience in this area.

“But they never mention Azerbaijan’s name. Since Azerbaijan cooperates with Europe through the Eastern Partnership and we are offered the association agreement, why do they not talk about what Azerbaijan has done to resolve problems of refugees and IDPs?” he emphasized.

According to the PA official, every year some bodies of those countries issue a number of statements on various issues related to Azerbaijan. “Why don’t these organizations talk about violation of the rights of Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs? They support political mercenaries in Azerbaijan,” Mammadov noted.

Mammadov then urged those bodies to make statements on violated rights of Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs, the occupation of Azerbaijani lands and Armenia’s non-fulfillment of the UN resolutions. “Otherwise, it is difficult to establish relations with Azerbaijan. It is the fault of the West, a result of its unfair approach to the issues,” he said.
