According to amendments made to the law, the duties of the police include ensuring public order and the safety of spectators and participants, combating violence in sports facilities during competitions and sporting events, as well as on the areas adjacent to sports facilities.
Also, President Ilham Aliyev has ordered on Friday the application of amendments to the laws "On Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and "On the Judicial Council" of AR.
