The issues to be discussed at the conference are expected to open up new opportunities for Muslim nations towards development and decisions to be reached will help further deepen the cooperation among Islamic countries.
Comprised of the representatives of 52 member states in Asia, Africa, and the Arab regions, the ISESCO Executive Council holds annual meetings, during which the general director’s progress report on development of the organization’s program and activity as well as his financial report are reviewed, and member states’ contributions to the ISESCO budget are assessed.
The General Conference meets in a regular session once every three years. During the General Conference, which defines ISESCO’s strategy of activity, coordination and assessment are carried out on the issues related to the organization’s activity spheres, and Action Plan and budget are approved for the next three years.
A representative of the host country is expected to be elected the President of the 12the General Conference.
