“We’re concerned by the detection of ministerial offences,” Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov said of the recent incidents.
Ali Ahmadov noted that the president is paying close attention to the issue.
“Whoever has violated the law, failed to justify the president’s confidence or betrayed this confidence somewhere, will surely face drastic punishment,” Ali Hasanov warned, adding that it’s only the president who has the authority to appoint or dismiss ministers.
Note that, the ministers of national security, and communication and high technologies have recently been relieved of their duties. And a number of high-ranking officials of both ministries have been arrested.
