In his speech, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of YAP, Deputy Prime Minister
Ali Ahmadov spoke about the history of the party stressing that upon the establishment of the party, the people united around national leader Heydar Aliyev even more closely.
Ahmadov said that the idea of innovation in the name of YAP demonstrates the philosophy of building a new society.
According to him, Azerbaijan is a leading country in the region. “Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its position in the international arena. The development and modernization of Azerbaijan’s economy seriously strengthened its position both in the region and the world. Azerbaijan has held the status of regional leader for years. I believe Azerbaijan will never lose this status.
There are serious examples of Azerbaijan’s international stances growing in strength. Our country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council a few years back signals success in the young state’s foreign policy and its overall state policy. Changes in Azerbaijani life and the country’s development will be lasting,” he said.
Ali Ahmadov added that despite the dramatic drop in the price of oil, the main source of income for Azerbaijan, there is no decline in social projects, and that is indicative of the strength of Azerbaijan’s economy.
Later on, the party’s young members made their speech and were given diplomas.
