Court to decide if re-election in Azerbaijan`s region needed
So far it is early to talk about a repeated parliamentary election in the 90th Aghdash constituency, Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan held its parliamentary election Nov. 1.

The CEC said Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court will consider the issue of holding a re-election in the 90th Aghdash constituency, where voting results have been cancelled by the CEC while making a decision on the election results.

The Central Election Commission said that without a decision of the Constitutional Court it is too early to speak about a re-election.

On Nov. 17, the CEC, considering appeals from MP candidates, registered at the 90th Aghdash constituency, annulled the voting results in that constituency.

The Constitutional Court will hold a meeting Nov. 24 on checking up the documents submitted by the CEC and approving the parliamentary election results.

During the Nov. 1 election, the MP mandate in this constituency was won by Chingiz Asadullayev, who chairs the supervisory board of Azerigazbank.
