An official welcoming ceremony for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is paying an official visit to Belarus, was held in the Palace of Independence, Minsk on Nov.28, BelTA reports.
The national flags of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan were raised outside the Palace of Independence. A guard of honor was lined up for the Azerbaijani president.
President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
Then national anthems of the two countries were played.
The presidents first will hold a private meeting which will be followed a meeting in an expanded format with the participation of the two countries’ delegations. Following the meetings, the presidents will sigh a joint declaration.
