Azerbaijani soldier Elshan Ismayilov was killed as a result of the diversion of Armenian armed forces on the contact line of troops on November 30, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry said.
Under the order of Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, the solider killed as a consequence of the Armenian diversion has been awarded the 3rd-degree medal “For distinguished military service” after his death, said the ministry.
The ministry offers heartfelt condolences to the soldier’s family and close ones.
The ministry reiterates that Armenia’s military-political leadership bears full responsibility for the renewed escalation on the line of contact, warning that this provocation will not be left unanswered and the retaliation will be crushing.
