Nardaran mosques should be registered
Mosques in the Baku township of Nardaran should be registered, said Mubariz Gurbanli, chairman of Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.
Speaking to reporters Nov. 30, he said religious communities should also be created at the mosques in the township, and those mosques should conduct their work on an official basis.

He added that religious shrines in Nardaran have always been and will further be the focus of attention of government.

Gurbanli also said it is deplorable that some parents in Nardaran don’t let their children get education, despite that there are schools across the township.

“Such cases can’t be allowed to happen, as evasion from education is contrary to the law on compulsory education,” he said.
