Azerbaijan may fine parents for pupils school absence
Azerbaijan will fine parents for pupils` absence from school.
The amendment proposed to the Code of Administrative Offences in this regard was discussed at today’s joint meeting of the parliamentary committee on legal policy and state building, and the committee on public associations and religious organizations.

According to article #51.1-1 annexed to the Code, except for reasons specified by the relevant executive authority, a parent will face AZN 100 fine due to pupil’s 7-day absence from classes in a month.

The draft law was adopted and recommended to the parliament`s plenary session.
