Secretary of State John Kerry committed the US diplomats to find a peaceful solution for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The statement came from John Heffern, US Ambassador to Armenia, News.am reports.
He reminded that the United States are one of the countries who mediate the conflict and are committed to assist to a peaceful solution in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group.
“We are hoping that there will be a meeting of presidents [of Armenia and Azerbaijan] in a not too distant future,” he added.
The message of the co-chairs themselves, he stressed, is very clear and consistent: there’s only one single way to resolve this conflict, and this is peace negotiations. The OSCE co-chairs have strongly condemned violations of the ceasefire and offered condolences for the lives lost at the line of contact [of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan] and the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
